Installation
Preparation

To prepare for the installation you will need the following:

  • Review product and parts: Your package should include the device with wiring harness.

  • Research your vehicle wiring diagram for the location of the Ignition sense location, check your owner’s manual or look it up online

  • Gather needed tools, including screwdrivers, wire strippers and cutters, crimping tool, voltmeter, zip ties and Velcro strips. If you do not have the tools or the experience, we highly recommend that you let a professional do the installation of your GPS Tracker.

Installation Instructions

The red wire will need to be connected to a constant +12V source. This can easily be located under the dash; fuse panels are good places to start, as well as the thicker gauge wires.

The black wire will need to be connected to a solid ground or negative battery terminal. Always use a bolt directly connected to the chassis to ensure a good ground. Using smaller bolts connected to secondary frames will result in occasional power loss.

The orange wire will need to be connected to an ignition source (Something that requires +12V when the vehicle is on and 0V when the vehicle is off). Verify the ignition wire by measuring the operating voltage while the key is turned to the on or start position (the voltage should read 0 vdc when the key is in the off position, and between 11V and 14V when in the on position.

Note: Be sure to wrap the positive and negative connections with electric tape after wires are connected.

Use the included double-sided tape to secure the Dashcam holder/bracket directly onto your window. Make sure the geared side of the bracket is facing left. We suggest placing it to the right or left of your rear-view mirror but can be placed anywhere you prefer. Allow a minimum of 1 hour for tape to set.

When attaching the DashCam, make sure the geared side of the attachment is on the left side, matching the holder that is attached to the window. The DashCam lights LEDs should be facing the driver / interior cabin. Install the screw and bolt & keep them loose until you’re DashCam is in its final position. Hand tight when ready.
